Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) also known as Vampire Facial treatment is an injectable treatment by which a person’s own blood is used. The technology has been used for years in surgical applications and wound care, nowadays PRP treatment is also being used in the aesthetics world & dermatology.

PRP therapy involves taking the patient’s own blood and placing it in a machine called a centrifuge which separates the blood into several components, one of which is called platelet-rich plasmaPlatelets contain many growth factors which have been shown to be very important with regard to healing. Platelets are vital in the process of tissue healing, and the growth of new cells

PRP thereby promotes collagen production, regenerates the skin tissue, and essentially re-energizes your cells into rejuvenating themselves.

Typically, a PRP treatment takes between an hour or two to complete. This depends on how the PRP is administered whether it is through injections only, and/or micro-needled into the skin. This timeframe includes an additional 30 minutes for the blood to be drawn and spun in the centrifuge, and topical numbing to be applied.

The full effects/ results if this treatment appear within a few weeks to months.

It is suggested to take 3 sessions or more with a 3 – 4 weeks gap in between sessions, to have better result.
